Art traditionally lives in gallery spaces, offering fleeting moments of inspiration that are quickly forgotten as people return to urban life. At the New Media Cruiser Institute, we found this disconnect troubling and decided to take action.
In 2015, we launched a series of projects centered on the concept of "Speed" - a defining characteristic of our generation. We explored whether art could break free from gallery walls to engage directly with city environments and urban populations. Our mission was to create more lasting artistic experiences by bringing art into conversation with the everyday spaces where people actually live and move.
